Mount
Hope stands to inherit two landmarks
on Main Street from the Fayette County
Board of Education, increasing the
city's growing cultural and economic
viability.
Mayor Michael Martin told reporters
for The Register Herald in July 2003
that he welcomed the chance to acquire
Mount Hope Middle School and its
historic gymnasium.
